When your neck is injured and/or there is pain and discomfort originating from it, the following may occur:
- Limited Range of Motion
- Lack of easy Movements
- Inappropriate feedback from the muscles
- Lack of co-ordinated movement of the head and neck
- Quick movements cause seizing of the neck muscles
- Lack of proper sequencing of the eye-head-neck mechanism
After I had strengthened my neck muscles via the rehabilitation exercises in the Stage 1 EBook, I learned
a surprising lesson. I was driving on the highway one evening and wanting to change lanes at the high speed, I turned my head-neck quickly and the muscles in the neck seized up.
I realized that I had missed an integral component of the
rehabilitation process. I spent many years reviewing all
exercises and reading on methods to rehabilitate the neck.
I finally realized that I had missed a key component of the
process.
The neck muscles are intimately wired with the spinal cord,
brain stem and via connections located in there – nuclei – control the eyes. This mechanism is basically called the Eye-Head-Neck Reflex. It evolved with us and it is a survival mechanism.
Any injury to the neck and its’ muscles will affect this
mechanism. Quick movements affect it more. Hence the seizing of my neck when I quickly looked behind me.
The stage 2 Program continues to strengthen your neck muscles and is integrated with components to restore the quick movement patterns of your eye-head-neck mechanisms.
This will take your neck function to the next level, by resolving the pain, restoring better function and co-ordination.
This program will improve any sport activity that you so want to return to.
