Twenty-five yeas ago, I had the last of three "whiplash injuries". As a result I could not pick up a pen with my left hand, or move my neck more than an inch or two. I suffered from severe neck pain and headaches, and could not chew hard foods. Sleep was impossible, because every time I tried to lie down the room would spin like a top. My waking hours weren’t much better: I had vertigo, I couldn’t focus my eyes, and I couldn’t walk a straight line—I was bouncing off the hallway walls from left to right. And when I talked to patients, I had to lean against something for balance. In short, I was a basket case.
I tried every treatment on the market but nothing helped. I tried drugs, which made me worse—I even began to have ulcers. I was losing weight and strength fast, and I looked truly awful.
Laser therapy was the only treatment that helped my neck pain, my TMJ (jaw) pain, and my headaches. It gave me my first good night’s sleep in months. In conjunction with the laser treatments, I began researching and developing special manual therapy procedures and exercises to help return strength and function to my neck and back. Along with the specific program of exercises, I also researched and prescribed myself the best nutritional products available to help repair my damaged nervous system, muscles and body. Today I am pain free and have a very active lifestyle.
As a result of my own experience with horrible, debilitating neck and back pain, I am now dedicated to solving your back and neck pain conditions too. My mission is simple: to make you as active, happy and pain free as I am.
My Wife’s Story
As a youth my wife was an avid participant in track and field. But back then schools had the children running and training on sidewalks and asphalt. As a result, she injured her back, wearing down her L5 disc until the point where none was left. This caused her great discomfort as a young woman, and prevented her from engaging in the kind of physical lifestyle she enjoyed. My wife eventually became the first patient of the Program (after myself). I designed and implemented a daily rehab program for her that she still maintains faithfully. I am happy to say that she is remains pain free and active today: working, going to the gym, and enjoying her life to the fullest.
